Installed SkyCam onto SO2 computer. Set DF to cycle the power on the camera at the top of every hour. One minute after the hour Windows Scheduled Tasks is set to restart the SkyCam batch file. This should minumize the data lost if the program crashes. This can be done more frequently if needed.
I will try to get a couple of days of images from the OH Platform where the camera is now before moving over to the Ameriflux array. Won't be able to cycle the power remotely at the array, so I will ask David to help check on it every hour and restart it if needed.
After Ameriflux I will probably install it on the rail of the WSU trailer.
Also worked on the SAFS some this evening. Checked all of the connections on the back of the front panel board and checked the internal components of the amplifier. Nothing seemed loose or damaged. The power supply was providing good +/- 15VDC when I checked earlier.
The shield on the PMT connection at the amp was slightly frayed at the crimp, but doesn't seem like that would be the cause of the problem.
After I reconnected everything and turned the system back on the 10^8 channel read about -0.5V, but slowly drifted up to zero. I recieved a monochrometer initialization error when I tried restarting the VI. Tried various combinations of restarting the computer and SAFS in case it was a hung com port issue.
When I went to look at the connection to the mono inside the case after checking the external cables I could hear a loud humming/buzzing sound coming from the mono, so I shut the system down for the night. Will have to ask Barry what might have happened and see what we can come up with tomorrow.
